It took Yotam Avni a while to get his debut album; actually almost a decade since his debut 12 ", That's What The World Needs" on the Seasons Limited imprint in California. During this time the producer based in Tel Aviv has refined his productions, streamlined the groove and reduced everything to the essentials; the strength of an Avni cut is the combination of a deep but gently used musicality, which gives his techno productions more weight on the dance floor, but also a lyrical sensibility that places him in a tradition of techno legends that he somehow succeeds in turning the four-to-the-floor into a space of poetic intensity and rigorous joy.
