It's an intoxicating autumnal and intoxicatingly dark and melancholy EP. A melodically swirling, atmospheric sound collage, designed and recorded by the band's creative core called Hannah Merrick (the voice!) And Craig Whittle (the guitar!). As rambling as the sound is, the focus here is nevertheless on intimate and quiet everyday stories that all too often trickle away unheard in the noisy monotony. Ms. Merrick's singing is currently being compared by excited critics in the UK and USA (depending on where you live and age) alternately with Hope Sandoval, Lana del Rey and even Beth Gibbons.
