The UK Thrasher Onslaught have become one of the bands that stand for the brilliance and perseverance of the current "Thrash Metal" scene. Every time the British announce the release of a new record, there is great enthusiasm among fans and critics around the world. In 2020 it will finally be time again. Led by founding member Nige Rockett, Onslaught are ready to set the world on fire with one of the most violent thrash metal albums in recent years: "Generation Antichrist"! Or to put it simply: If you like extreme and brutal metal, you will definitely love this album.
As a veritable classic of German metal of the 1980s, Angel Dust's first two albums are in high demand and have since been reissued several times. Now "Into The Dark Past" (1986) and "To Dust You Will Decay" (1988) together with the 1985 demo "Marching For Revenge" as well as sought-after rehearsal room recordings experience their ultimate re-release on CD and vinyl.
2020 is the comeback year for the Swiss legend, who returns after 26 years of silence with a new EP ("Fatal Grotesque Symbols - Darken Universe") and a new album. The EP released in August includes a simple, carefree new track and two new recordings of old classics (´Space Invaders´ from the debut album "Hymn To Abramelin" and ´Extreme Cold Weather´ from the album of the same name), which in contemporary production and with Andy Kaina's vocals nothing lose charm. And the album also knows how to please. Not only did they manage to keep the classic line-up of "Rotten Perish" and "Choir Of Horrors", they even transported the spirit of the middle phase perfectly into the new millennium. So there is again the perfect mix of death and thrash metal, enriched by weird solos and dark riffing. The massive, but thoroughly authentic production also fits into the positive basic image, and that is probably the best-produced recording in the band's history. Both old and new fans will be delighted.
With Messiah from Switzerland there were some real maniacs at the start, Thrash / Death Metal maniacs of course. Founded in 1984, they played a key role in shaping the early sound of Death and Thrash Metal. "Extreme Cold Weather" was Messiah's second album, released in 1987. It has become a cult album by a band that has always been both obscure and outstanding compared to their contemporaries. Messiah played a unique, very extreme mix of early Thrash and Death: brutal, uncouth, raw and always independent. The songs on "Extreme Cold Weather" are just as perky as they are well thought out. As on "Hymn to Abramelin", Messiah combine razor-sharp Thrash attacks, atmospheric melody parts and the Messiah-typical interludes and samples. On their second album, Messiah combined new and older material, the latter coming from live situations. With "Extreme Cold Weather" Messiah released a wicked and much sought-after cult album. Messiah from Switzerland, founded in 1984, are among the pioneers in Death and Thrash Metal. By the standards of the time, the Swiss debut was extreme: extremely raw, extremely evil and extremely brutal! Even after almost 30 years, the dark, vicious atmosphere of the album still grabs you right in the neck. The vocals in particular contribute to the unique atmosphere, because hardly any other singer from back then can compare with his special way of screaming. On "Hymn to Abramelin" total Thrash-Madness meets heavy mid-tempo parts and brilliant solos, and short, spoken interludes create a cult B-movie atmosphere. No wonder that the Messiah debut is one of the classics of early Death / Thrash. "Hymn to Abramelin" was originally released by a small, obscure Swiss label, and it's hard to come by today. As one of THE formative albums of early Death / Thrash, "Hymn to Abramelin" shouldn't be missed! Formats: -Black Vinyl, Heavy Cardboard + Poster -White Vinyl, Heavy Cardboard + Poster
The fifth studio album by the UK thrash legend! For more than 25 years, the Preston band has stood for uncompromising, top-class Thrash Metal. With their previous albums, Solitary received great reviews from leading metal magazines. The new album was created under the aegis of star producer Simon Efemey (Napalm Death, Paradise Lost, Obituary, Amorphis). The result of this collaboration produced Thrash anthems, which put everything from the previous Solitary back catalog in the shade.
Re-issue of the classic! The year 2004 was not yet old, when “Tempo Of The Damned” was an absolute hit on the market. After a split, the Bay Area Thrashers EXODUS struck a huge package of Thrash Metal at its best. During the twelve years of abstinence on the album market there was a live record with “Another Lesson in Violence” and an extensive tour including a gig on “The Thrash Of The Titans”, but “Tempo Of The Damned” marks the official studio -Comeback of the band. Steve "Zetro" Souza is at the microphone, replacing the late Paul Baloff. Who would have thought at the time that this album would be such a big Thrash Metal ham. We are all the more pleased about the rebirth of EXODUS. “Tempo Of The Damned” definitely belongs in every Thrashy household.
The quartet from Malmö, Sweden, with their successor to their highly acclaimed debut album on Denomination Records. The new album brings together ten pieces of angry old-school Thrash Metal inspired by both hardcore punk and British heavy metal heritage. The album was recorded at The End Studios with longtime producer Ulf Blomberg and mastered by one of the band's personal heroes: Joel Grind from "Toxic Holocaust".
Destruction's debut EP was the raw and aggressive first strike by a band that set their sights on being the fastest and toughest of them all, and fans and press still agree that "Sentence of Death" was already setting standards . Here now in the version that was only made for EUROPE at the time with a special cover. Fire splatter vinyl
In 1988, Release From Agony was the last studio album for the time being with bass player, singer and band figurehead Schmid and the beginning of the temporary end of one of the greatest Thrash Metal acts of all time. Fire splatter vinyl
"KILLER BE KILLED", the successful self-titled debut album, entered the official album charts in 8 countries in 2014. It then took no less than six and a half years for the prominent US quartet to finally deliver the long-awaited successor with "Reluctant Hero". In addition to Max Cavalera (SOULFLY) and Greg Puciato (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN), Troy Sanders (MASTODON) is also on board again and was audibly able to contribute more than on the debut. Only Dave Elitch (ex-THE MARS-VOLTA) has meanwhile made room for successor Ben Koller (CONVERGE) on the drum stool. Even if they will probably never be able to completely shed the project character, in the end it is the result of their so well-functioning collaboration that counts, through which they even surpass their brilliant album debut with "Reluctant Hero".
"Nuclear are back, after their successful tour with Abbath, Vltimas and 1349 they signed with Black Lodge at the last gig in Sweden and are now serving you one of the most brilliant Thrash Metal attacks of the year! Who still remembers Formula For Anarchy, knows what's coming here. The Chileans stand for an old-school variant spiced with hardcore and punk, which pops in the ears and limbs with an unbelievable freshness. Murder Of Crows shows the band more versatile, but still precise and brutal . " (time-for-metal)
