Seamus Fogarty fuses his down-to-earth Irish-Alt-Folk, Country and Blues with discreetly staged electronics. Tired of the guitar and looking for a darker nuance, Fogarty relied more on synthesizers and drum computers this time and produced it himself. "A Bag Of Eyes" rattles and jerks like a body builder's hole press. A cacophony of saxophones and angry oscillating drums are casually recaptured by loose fuzz guitars. The stories that Fogarty embeds in this sound world fluctuate between the fantastic and the everyday: nuns playing volleyball, horses on cliffs, life viewed through the rear window. There are echoes of his own past, the loss of dear friends. Ireland, London and two views of San Francisco, 15 years apart. There are bus stops, house fires and Jimmy Stewart.
