In 1973 Ruphus were signed by Polydor Norway and recorded their first LP in the same year. Ruphus toured Norway until 1974 and her newfound popularity made her aware of television and produced a TV special. In the same year they went on tour in Germany for the first time and then recorded their second album immediately afterwards. 'Ranshart' was their first export album and also attracted some international attention. In 1976 they produced their third album 'Let Your Light Shine'. Her new style was unmistakable. With the help of rock and jazz guitarist Terje Rypdal, Ruphus had developed into a jazz rock band. The German metronome brought Ruphus to Essen for the first Brain Festival on February 26, 1977, where they played in front of about 8000 visitors. In 1977 her fourth work appeared on the market. 'Inner Voice' was again produced by Terje Rypdal, and like its predecessors, is now being released as a reissue (CD, LP, Lim. Transparent Blue LP) by progressive rock specialist Karisma Records.
