French Canadian producer and musician Nicolas Bougaïeff, who lives in Berlin, will release his album debut with Mute on July 24th with “The Upward Spiral”. Bougaïeff then translates familiar language images into his own vision of body music. Obviously industrial techno, the album unfolds a variety of levels of meaning upon closer listening, which the Québec-born musician has devised over the years and to a certain extent subcutaneously transferred to the pieces here: "The Upward Spiral" is his own contribution to the club canon. The album is released on a limited blue double vinyl including a download code.
