After the overwhelming response to the streaming event in July, “Idiot Prayer: Nick Cave Alone at Alexandra Palace” will hit theaters on November 5th. The international theatrical release is flanked by the live album of the same name. "Idiot Prayer: Nick Cave Alone at Alexandra Palace" was recorded in June 2020 when the first measures were just being withdrawn in England and the country was slowly waking up from lockdown. Cave's solo performance should primarily be a response to the isolation and limitations of the time before it. Originally only conceived as an online / streaming event, fans can now experience the impressive recording one more time on the big screen - expanded by four additional songs that have not been seen or heard before. Two weeks later the complete recording from the Alexandra Palace will also be released as an album. "Idiot Prayer" shows the essence of Nick Cave, who is on his own here: He presents his pieces in a more minimalist way than seldom before, alone at the piano, with the Australian's set including everything from early Bad Seeds and Grinderman compositions for the current Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds album "Ghosteen".
