Adulkt Life consist of ex-members of the cult bands Huggy Bear and Male Bonding. The 10 songs on their debut album "Book Of Curses" are explosive mixtures of ecstatic circular saw guitars, liberating poetry and the improvisational energy of cloudburst art-punk drumming, which has its roots in free jazz. The British musicians experienced their socialization with the Riot Grrrl hardcore punk movement in the USA in the early 1990s and the seismic shock, the concerts of Nation Of Ulysses and the Riot Grrrl fanzine "Jigsaw" by Bikini Kill drummer Tobi Vail they exercised.
